Eamonn Matthews joins the NY Locals Academy as the Head Coach of the U19 Boys division after several years of playing professionally in Major League Rugby.
A graduate of St. Bonaventure, Matthews signed with Rugby ATL for the 2020 season but did not appear in any regular season matches. In 2022, he played in four matches for Rugby ATL, earning one start and totaling 132 minutes on the field. In 2023, the New York Ironworkers signed him to their extended roster.
Hailing from Jersey City, NJ, Matthews attended Xavier High School, where he currently serves as the Varsity Backs Coach.
