The 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup has officially kicked off in England, bringing together the top rugby nations in a celebration of strength, skill, and national pride.. This year’s tournament marks a historic moment for the sport — with more eyes watching, more nations competing, and more momentum behind the women’s game than ever before. For fans around the world, it’s a chance to witness elite competition and legacy-defining moments. And among the many athletes chasing glory are a group of players who’ve also made their mark in Premier Rugby Sevens — now ready to represent their countries on the game’s grandest stage. PR7s is proud to be home to 13 world-class athletes competing for five different countries in this year’s Rugby World Cup.
United States of America
The USA Women’s roster features five PR7s standouts, including Alev Kelter, who just earned a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics. Joining her are Tahlia Brody, Cassidy Bargell, Hallie Taufoou, and Bulou Mataitoga, all bringing their firepower from PR7s to the world’s biggest stage.
This squad is built for a run.
New Zealand
Stacey Waaka, one of PR7s’ most electric players, returns to the international stage with the defending champion Black Ferns of New Zealand. Known for her blazing pace and game-changing instincts, Waaka will be a central figure as the Kiwis look to repeat as champions and extend their dynasty.
Canada
Asia Hogan-Rochester and Caroline Crossley — silver medalists in Paris — return to international play alongside Shosanah Seumanutafa. These three have been dominant forces in PR7s and are poised to make waves again as Canada looks to build on their Olympic success.
Fiji
Asinate Serevi, a fierce competitor with PR7s pedigree and deep rugby lineage, will represent Fiji, bringing grit, strength, and island flair to every match.
Brazil
Three of Brazil’s finest — Luiza Campos, Mariana Nicolau, and Bianca Silva — are repping PR7s in style. All three have lit up PR7s tournaments with creative play and relentless hustle, and now they bring that same energy to Brazil’s World Cup campaign.
This year’s Rugby World Cup is already making history — with record-breaking attendance, expanded global coverage, and a rising wave of fan engagement like the sport has never seen. As the world watches, we’re proud to see so many of our PR7s athletes not just participating, but leading the charge on this global stage.
